Drinks

Iron Beer ($1.50)
On a summer’s afternoon, in 1917 a mule-drawn, wooden wagon arrived at a popular cafeteria in Havana, Cuba. It delivered the first four cases of a new soft drink that would soon be called "Cuba’s National Beverage". It is enjoyed for its refreshing flavor with just a hint of island spices.

Materva ($1.50)
The Materva Soft Drink Company was founded in Matanzas, Cuba, in 1920. It was produced and sold in Cuba until 1960, when the Cuban Revolution brought about the nationalization of all private industry. But like all things Cuban, this “Best Local Soft Drink” made it 90 miles to freedom. This traditional Cuban soda, made from an herb called Yerba Mate, tastes like a sparkling tea soda with a cream finish.

Jupiña ($1.50)
(hoo-peen-yah) is pineapple soda pop. Its name is a contraction of "Jugo de Piña" or pineapple juice. It has to be one of the sweetest sodas in the world. Its sweetness and intense pineapple flavor make it a great choice when eating something salty or fatty.
